Bored Piles

Queensland Rail is replacing series of timber bridges in the North Coast Railway Line. The section between Childers and Gladstone was awarded by Fulton Hogan to Avopiling QLD Pty Ltd to construct foundations for the new bridges.

Scope of Works

The project involves 6 bridges and construction of bored piles majority with permanent steel casings. Bored piles 6No-600mmØ and 48No-750mmØ are without steel casings. All 36No-900mmØ, 16No-1050mmØ, 48No-1200mmØ and 4No-1500mmØ are with permanent casings. Pile depths ranging from 15.00 metres to 20.00 metres. Hard Rock drilling is expected on 3 Mile Creek Bridge
