The project is located in the Gold Coast region under the management of Queensland Rail. The project involves 8.2 kilometers of rail tracks comprising of 8 bridges. Golding Contractors was selected to undertake the rail duplication.

Scope of Works

Avopiling QLD Pty Ltd was awarded the contract to construct the foundation piles of the 8 bridges on the project. The piles for Bridges 3, 4 and 5 were built drilled using temporary casings and polymer drilling fluid. Another section of Bridge 5 foundations were change to 84No 550 octagonal driven piles to lengths ranging from 18 to 25.00 meters. The bored pier foundations are made up of 4No-1200mmØ, 38No-1350 mm, 22No-1500mm and 4No-1800mmØ to drill depths reaching 29.00 meters.
